Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports include: 5v5 basketball, 7v7 flag football, 9v9outdoor soccer, and 10v10 softball. Each league consists of a 5-8 week regular season, followed by a double elimination playoff bracket for qualifying teams. Playoff qualifcations are based off of each team's record as well as each team's average sportsmanship rating.

Seeding for playoffs will be determined based off each team's record. In the event of a tie, the following steps will be taken, until the tie is broken:

1st - Head to head competition.

2nd - Point differential between the teams still tied.

3rd - Overall point differential.

 4th - Coin toss.

Certified officials are present at each sport, and these officials take the majority of responsibility in managing games.

Eligible participants include: Active Dity, Dependents, Retirees, Reservists, and DoD Employees. Contracted employees are not eligible for participation in Intramural Sports. All participants are required to have their base ID present at each competition, and the officials and staff have the right to ID any and all participants at any given time. Those without a base ID will not be allowed to play.

When a league is labeled "CAPTAINS' CUP," the team's roster may only have three players on the team's roster outside the team's affiliated command.

Active Duty teams are required to pay a $100 forfeit deposit. Active Duty teams may include 2 civilians on each team; however, civilians will be required to pay a $10 non-refundable fee. The $100 Active Duty team fee will reimbursed in full at the end of the season given the team did not forfeit any games. With one forfeit, the team loses 50% of their forfeit deposit. With two forfeits, the team will be ineligible for a refund.

Teams made up of 3+ DoD Employees, Retirees, Reservists, and/or Dependents will be required to pay a $200 non-refundable team fee for flag football  and softball and a $100 non-refundable fee for volleyball, soccer, and basketball. This fee pays for the officials and league administration as Kings Bay Sports does not receive federal funding for non-Active Duty participants.
